IllegalArgumentException, timeline freezing or slowness, large profile pictures

Recently, some profile pictures on Twitter are not scaled properly, and TwitterBerry is downloading a large image, sometimes ten times larger than expected. This is causing slowness, out of memory, or IllegalArgumentExceptions when scrolling or using time lines.
